Jim Hubbard & Associates Name Change To Hubbard Systems Reflects Broader Vision
Birmingham, AL, February 17, 2003 - Jim Hubbard & Associates, Inc., a leading provider of debt collections software to law firms, collection agencies, and financial institutions, has announced a new name for the entity - Hubbard Systems, Inc. According to Gregory Jones, CEO of Hubbard Systems, the name change reflects a broader vision for the firm. "Our business is evolving to meet the needs of the collections industry both in terms of the number of platforms our systems will run on and the capabilities of our software. For example with our recent acquisition of Managing Partners we now offer a Windows-based option in addition to our upcoming spring release of Colipso, our Microsoftš .NET compatible system. We are committed to continuing to enhance our offerings and to grow our business through increased market share and perhaps additional acquisitions. We wanted a name that more accurately reflected the breadth of our offerings and that would continue to fit in the coming years."
Founded in 1983 by Jim Hubbard who had acquired the rights to a collections software package developed while he was with the accounting firm of Snow, Stewart, Hubbard & Cade, the firm's software is widely used by law firms, collection agencies, and financial institutions. "It's time for a change," said Hubbard. "Up until now the name has served us well but going forward we wanted a name that conveyed a more expanded vision of who we now are." "A large portion of our traditional market has been law firms and that won't change. Our Partner-to-Partner and Web Attorney Network were the first large-scale attorney-focused use of the Internet for collections. Colipso takes that kind of collaborative capability and couples it with more powerful features and functionality."
Hubbard System's software manages the debt collection process from start to finish. Rich with features, the firm's applications cover the full array of case management, client status, and statistical reporting functions. Users also have access to the firm's data exchange network allowing them to create a virtual debt collections network between themselves and other parties involved in the collections process. Hubbard Systems provides software solutions to more than 300 clients nationwide. For more information visit www.hubbardsystems.com.
